Fabric manipulation techniques
Textiles are usually soft and smooth, but you can also manipulate the texture. With beeswax, for example, you can make textiles waterproof and with corn-starch and acrylics you can make them firm and hard. Designer Katja Ravina put together a workshop explaining these techniques.
