Can you describe what you’re wearing today?
Today I put on clothes that describe what I like. For example, I am wearing skate shoes right now. My sweater is from my favourite artist and my shirt is from my favourite movie. I feel comfortable wearing clothes that have meaning to me.
Can you tell something about the items you brought today?
Today I brought my skateboard and my headphones. This is because skating and music are two important things for me and are my hobbies. Especially my headphones; I always carry them with me.
Do you have a piece of clothing that you put a lot of effort into?
Yes, I made a new pair of trousers out of two different trousers. I had seen it before on the internet that people made new clothes out of old clothes so I wanted to try this too. I thought it was really cool that this worked out because I'm not very good at crafting and all that stuff.
What is your oldest piece of clothing?
My glasses, if that counts. I have had these for a long time. I really need to get new ones soon. Then I will probably choose a frame that looks a little more modern.
What do you do with clothes you no longer wear?
Clothes I no longer wear I sometimes give to my friends - when they like them. Or I throw them in clothing containers so it gets to people who need it.
What is your home, or what feels home to you?
Everywhere where I can skate feels like home. Of course also at my house, with my family.
How do you feel in your own body?
Fine, I don’t feel insecure. This hasn’t always been the case, but I am happy to say that I am confident now. I am especially happy with my height.
What makes you happy?
When I do something that gives me satisfaction. For example, the other day I got myself a new skateboard and I'm extremely glad I did. Or if I can do something good for someone else.
What kind of dreams or ambitions do you have?
I would like to become a game designer. I really want to become this since I was five years old. I am also currently studying ICT.
Can you describe the identity of Tilburg-North in one word or sentence?
Diverse. When I am in other countries, I often see many people wearing the same clothes. But I noticed that in Tilburg-North, everyone has their own style.
